Too often those working in charities are told (or tell themselves) that they need to be more resilient, the work is hard and relentless, but they need to do more to be able to cope with the pressures they face. And whilst it is true that the work is hard, the responsibility for managing the pressure of this shouldn’t rest squarely on their shoulders.
